i was at this show and the setlist speaks for itself. the music finally stopped after 1:30am, and started around 7:45 with an introduction by tom hanks. the only negative was the embarrassing technical/audio problems with stevie wonder’s microphone before he started – it took way too long to turn the man’s mic on!

This may have very well been the best concert ever. 6 hours of AMAZING tunes and unreal duets…not many shows can top this. (except for woodstock)…best grand i ever spent

Beyond amazing! A once in a lifetime experience!

when can i see it on my iPhone??

Real simple, it was the best concert I have ever gone too.

Truly amazing, once in a lifetime show. Too bad they had to go so late for those of us that took Public Trasnportation from NJ. We missed half the set list from the Boss.

Maybe next time, they can figure out how to operate the microphones properly.

last nights setlist

The most amazing concert I have ever experienced. An article from NPR summed it up perfectly…”it was an endless jam session of rock gods …”

I only wish Simon and Garfunkel performed longer together…

Did sting get mad when Stevie called him out to sing?
I was way up there & didn’t have a close veiw

slh – no, Sting didn’t get mad…I think he was surprised!

highlights for me…Simon & Garfunkel on Bridge Over Troubled Water & Springsteen & Morello on Tom Joad.

Wasn’t ‘Wake up Little Susie’ somewhere in this set list?

Awesome show…hail hail Rock and Roll.

By far the most amazing concert I’ve ever been to. I can’t get over it! Bridge Over Troubled Water knocked me out, and when Billy Joel came out several people in my section hugged! It was beyond exciting — an amazing experience.

What a stunning show this must have been. Please, please, a high-quality DVD set asap!

Absolutely, incredible once in a lifetime experience. When I saw Crosby, Stills & Nash on stage with James Taylor, Jackson Brown, Jeff Beck and Bonnie Raitt singing “Teach your Children Well” I knew I was in for a special evening. And it just kept getting better and better. Unfortunately, I also had to leave at 12:45 to catch the last train back to Westchester. But, I saw enough of Bruce to see that he is still the BOSS.

Will be aired on HBO I believe in January

Did Jeff Beck get mad as he was leaving(he looked back at Stevie) and Stevie Wonder seemed not to thank him?
Obviously not intentional by Stevie

Great show but as someone mentioned NJ Transit should have added some later trains as we missed most of The Boss. I should have driven into the city

Stayed all six hrs. Truly the best concert ever! We’ll be talking about it for years to come. A little youf for Woodstock, just right for this!

I was at the concert and, yes, it was beyond awesome. One for the ages. In an evening of extraordinary performances, folks in the audience might have had a special favorite. Mine had to be Simon and Garfunkel’s entire set, but, especially, “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” And, EVERY artist brought his or hers “A” game.

The six hours (really about five hours of performances and one hour of setting-up and technical problems), along with tonight’s concert will be melded into one four-hour special on HBO to be premiered on November 29.

Incredible show! Planned ahead and stayed in the City. Got to bed after 2am.

Amazing show that will not be soon forgotten. only bummed i missed the Billy Joel portion cause i left after badlands. i also had to figure out how to get home since NJ Transit dropped the ball on this one.

We also had to leave before Billy Joel came out to catch a train to Long Island. Great concert. disappointed Neil Young wasn’t there. Been disappointed with sound systems for other Garden concerts but this system was great. But why did they have to double the decibel level for Bruce. The other acts were loud but good. The volume for Bruce was so load the music got distorted. Still glad I got tickets for this historic concert.

Nearly 24 hours later I am still stunned – speechless – there aren’t words for what I saw last night – I just don’t have the adjectives!! I have been going to concerts since the early 60’s (Dylan in the village…) – that means thousands. This could be the best ever, and that’s saying alot (including a very wet Woodstock) – I am so very lucky to have grabbed this ticket on the presale and, now that I look back, $175 is nearly free for seeing two or three dozen A-list artists. Simon & Garfunkel absolutely nailed “Bridge over Troubled Water” – you could have cried – and I did when CSN did “Teach your Children” (now that I have grown kids) – Every time we thought it was coming to a close, someone else came out!!! And, finally, to top it off, unannounced, after 5 1/2 hours at 1 AM, who strolls out, but Billy Joel for another amazing set. At 1:40 AM it ended with the ensemble “Higher and Higher”. I am reborn – HAIL, HAIL, ROCK N ROLL !!

I was at the last show at the Filmore East and this was the same sort of show. Absolutely unbelievable. It just got better and better till Bruce raised the roof off the Garden. When was the last time you saw Bruce do the Clash’s London calling with Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine. I had never heard this guy but he smoked his guitar. Simon and Garfunkel sounded great and bought the late 60’s back into the Garden. Everyone was on so, “Don’t come a knockin if the house is a rockin”.

I was there with my two sons, 23 and 20, and it will probably be a life highlight for me. I grew up with this music, like many who were there, and I just had a sense of enormous gratitude for these musicians whose gifts have been such a blessing in my life. One caveat — the Stevie Wonder set was painful because althought it was obviously
incredible, even when they finally provided a working mike, the sound was still off and muffled, at least in the upper level. It felt like he was poorly treated and deserved so much better. The long delay afterwards before Bruce’s set seemed due to an attempt to get things right before he came on. The only blemish on a truly amazing experience.

I was at the show, it was amazing. as usual Bruce rocks out. John Fogerty was a pleasent suprise. B B King was awesome. enough with CSN what they were missing was YOUNG
One of the best concerts
