EU to toughen up hedge fund rules

EU finance ministers have agreed to introduce tougher regulation of hedge funds, blamed for increased market volatility during the financial crisis.

The new British government had raised concerns about the proposals, as around 80% of EU funds operate out of London.

The EU says a final deal will take account of those worries.

Ben Shore reports from Brussels.
