We overheard the chief guests of the day, Barun Chanda and filmmaker Bedabrata Pain, discussing world cinema. The evening started with elocutionist Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee reciting dramatized excerpts of Shesher Kobita. The high-point of the evening was the reading of Black Tulip and his impromptu rendition of Krishnokoli.Appreciating the evening’s programme over cocktails were Ushasie Chakraborty, Biplab Dasgupta, Sayani Datta, Elina Banik, Anindya Ghosh and many others.
Bedabrata said, “People need to put in effort and acquire more knowledge about world cinema before attempting to make a film.”
