Newcomer Teyana Taylor debuts straight in at No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums with her debut studio album VII.  The set enters with 16,000 sold in the week ending Nov. 9, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The 23-year old singer climbs 13-11 on Hot R&B Songs with “Maybe,” featuring Pusha T and Yo Gotti, reaching a new peak in its seventh week. Streaming of the track jumps 42 percent to 588,000 U.S. plays, according to Nielsen BDS, with nearly half of those plays stemming from YouTube views.

Shmurda Shoots To No. 1: Fifteen weeks after first landing on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with his debut single “Hot Boy,” Bobby Shmurda reaches the No. 1 spot. The crowning track rises 3-1, and takes Streaming Gainer honors with a 45 percent rise to 11.5 million domestic streams in the week ending Nov. 9, according to Nielsen BDS. Spotify logged 1.8 million weekly clicks of the song, up 53,000 from the prior week. “Hot Boy” spends a fifth consecutive week on Rap Streaming Songs, moving 37,000 downloads (down 7 percent), according to Nielsen SoundScan. The track reaches a new peak on Rap Airplay, climbing 3-2 in its 14th week, increasing 1 percent, to 31 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS.

‘Tuesday’ Tops Digital Songs: Notching the top selling digital track of the week is I Love Makonnen with “Tuesday,” featuring Drake. The song jumps 4-1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs, netting 68,000 downloads (a 32 percent leap). It’s the first chart-topping digital song for the newcomer, and gives Drake his ninth No. 1. On Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, “Tuesday” takes the Digital Gainer prize, though it’s pushed backwards (5-7). On air, the song arrives at a new peak on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop, stepping 6-5 with a 12 percent ascent at the format (to 3,445 spins).

‘Lifestyle’ LiftsRich Gang‘s “Lifestyle” featuring Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan steps 2-1 to top the Rap Airplay chart. Both featured rappers score their first No. 1 on the list with the rise, as it climbs to 34.9 million audience impressions (a 2 percent hike). On R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs, it steps 12-10 (after previously peaking at No. 7 on Nov. 1) selling 27,000 downloads (a 6 percent slide).

Loaf LeapsDeJ Loaf scores her first top 10 on Hot Rap Songs and Rap Airplay as “Try Me” leaps 15-10 on both charts. The title spikes 20 percent in digital sales (to 17,000) and posts the biggest gain on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (up 55 percent to 12.1 million in audience impressions), where it jumps 19-15.
