University of Tokyo to launch 5-year arts and sciences program

TOKYO -- The University of Tokyo will launch a new five-year integrated bachelor's and master's degree program in the humanities and sciences, in the fall of 2027, sources familiar with the university's plans told Nikkei.

The program aims to nurture academics and professionals capable of tackling difficult issues, such as climate change and the loss of biodiversity.
