The Indianapolis Colts traded cornerback Quincy Wilson to the New York Jets for the No. 211 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

With that new pick, the Colts are replacing Wilson with cornerback Isiah Rodgers from UMass.

It was expected that Wilson would be traded at some point during the draft. His time with the Colts was seemingly coming to an end after he failed to make much of an impact since being drafted. Wilson was in the final year of his contract.

A second-round pick in the 2017 NF draft, Wilson will be viewed as one of Chris Ballard’s biggest misses. The Florida product had high upside coming out of the draft but never amassed to much outside of a depth piece.

Wilson is still just 23 years old and can develop into a contributor, but it was clear it wasn’t going to happen—especially after the Colts signed Xavier Rhodes and T.J. Carrie this offseason.

Wilson joins cornerbacks Pierre Desir and Nate Hairston as former Colts players who recently suited up in Indy.

In 29 career games (10 starts), Wilson recorded eight passes defended and two interceptions across three seasons.
