Beginning in February, Sundance Channel will be known as SundanceTV, leading up to the premiere of the network’s newest original scripted series The Red Road. The rebrand supports Sundance’s commitment to creating fresh and daring original programming, Sundance Channel said today in a statement. The new design will feature a streamlined logo in a modern sans serif font and neutral palette. Additionally, the network is introducing a new website, http://www.sundance.tv. “We have made great strides in the past few years with our original programming and we see this as the perfect moment to mark that shift with a new name and fresh logo,” stated Monica Bloom, SundanceTV’s SVP Marketing. The new logo and rebrand were developed in partnership with Base Design and Johnson + Wolverton.
SundanceTV will roll out its redesign in the weeks leading up to the February 27 premiere of original series The Red Road starring Jason Momoa, Julianne Nicholson and Martin Henderson. Later this year, the network will unveil The Honorable Woman starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and Season 2 of Rectify.
