Jan Van der Roost (Duffel, 1956) is a Belgian composer. Educated at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, he nowadays works as a professor at said institute and as a guest professor at the Shobi Institute of Music, Tokyo and the Nagoya University of Arts.
Van der Roost has written over 90 works: most of these works were composed for wind orchestras like brass band, fanfare and wind band. Various symphonic and choral works also belong to his oeuvre.
