Dragon Ball Z Kai Coming to Cartoon Network India This Summer
The channel announced the news at Comic Con Mumbai.
Cartoon Network has announced that it will broadcast the popular anime series, Dragon Ball Z Kai, in India. The show will air in Summer 2023, although no exact release date has been announced yet.
The channel made this announcement at Mumbai Comic Con, and also premiered a promo video for the arrival of the anime. Cartoon Network also revealed that Dragon Ball Z Kai will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

For those unaware what Dragon Ball Z Kai is, it is basically a high-definition remastered and recut version of Dragon Ball Z. You can also think of it as a director’s cut of Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Z Kai removed a lot of filler content from the original anime and made it as accurate to the manga as possible. The show was made for Dragon Ball Z’s 20th anniversary, and ran from April 2009 to March 2011 in Japan in its initial run.
The show then returned in April 2014 with new remastered episodes of the Majin Buu Saga, and finished its run in June 2015. Internationally, this second part of Dragon Ball Z Kai is known as Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters. It is not known if Cartoon Network will also air these episodes later.
