The late, great Lena Horne’s childhood brownstone in Bedford-Stuyvesant is on the market for $1.99 million.
Born in 1917, Horne lived in the landmarked home is at 519 Macon St. until she was 5 years old, when she moved to Georgia with her mother before returning to live with her grandparents in Brooklyn in 1929.
Horne’s mother, an actress, traveled with an African-American theater troupe, and she was raised mostly by her grandparents.
The legendary entertainer — she was a Hollywood actress, a singer, a dancer and a civil rights activist — went on to become a four-time Grammy winner.
She won a special Tony award in 1982 for her solo show, “Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music.”
The brownstone, on tree-lined Macon Street, is currently configured as a two duplexes.
Prewar details throughout the townhouse include wainscoting, mantles, medallions, inlaid mahogany floors, and original crown, window and door moldings.
