Jazz up the joint with Lena Horne’s $2M brownstone

The late, great Lena Horne’s childhood brownstone in Bedford-Stuyvesant is on the market for $1.99 million.

Born in 1917, Horne lived in the landmarked home is at 519 Macon St. until she was 5 years old, when she moved to Georgia with her mother before returning to live with her grandparents in Brooklyn in 1929.

Horne’s mother, an actress, traveled with an African-American theater troupe, and she was raised mostly by her grandparents.

The legendary entertainer — she was a Hollywood actress, a singer, a dancer and a civil rights activist — went on to become a four-time Grammy winner.

She won a special Tony award in 1982 for her solo show, “Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music.”

The brownstone, on tree-lined Macon Street, is currently configured as a two duplexes.

Prewar details throughout the townhouse include wainscoting, mantles, medallions, inlaid mahogany floors, and original crown, window and door moldings.

There’s also a landscaped garden with retaining walls and a built-in sprinkler system.

Corcoran’s Lisa James and Anthony Morris have the listing.
