Today, Aretha Franklin is being honored with a funeral service in Detroit featuring performances from Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan, and others. Aretha Franklin died on August 16 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 76. A public viewing took place on August 28 and 29 at Detroit’s Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
