Spanish helmer Paco Cabezas (“Neon Flesh”) is attached to direct “Mr. Right,” produced by David Alpert and Lawrence Mattis’ Circle of Confusion (AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” “Powers”).

Max Landis (“Chronicle,” “Good Time Gang”) has written the screenplay.

Cabezas’ third feature, “‘Right’ is about a girl falling in love with a perfect guy whose only flaw is that he kills people for living,” Cabezas told Variety at Spain’s Sitges Festival.

Set in a small U.S. town, the English-spoken movie “Right” will have an entirely U.S. cast and crew. Feature is currently casting.

Speaking at Spain’s Sitges Festival, Cabezas called “Mr. Right” “a romantic comedy with tons of action and highly aesthetic, choreographed violence.”

The screenwriter of David Pinillos’ “Bon Appetit” and Javier Ruiz Caldera’s “Spanish Movie,” Cabezas is one of a building wave of talented Spanish helmers signed up by U.S. companies alongside Gonzalo Lopez Gallego (“Apollo 18”), Luis Berdejo (“The New Daughter”) and brothers Alex and David Pastor (“The Last Days”).
