Melissa Stack to pen Fox comedy

She'll write revenge comedy for producer Julie Yorn

Twentieth Century Fox and producer Julie Yorn have tapped Black List alum Melissa Stack (“I Want to F— Your Sister”) to pen an untitled female revenge comedy.

Based on an original idea, the high-concept story is described as being in the vein of “The First Wives Club,” but with younger leads.

Yorn (“Bride Wars”) will produce through her LBI Prods. banner, while Daria Cercek will oversee the project for the studio.

Stack is a former attorney who quit her job after her spec script “Sister” made the top 10 of the 2007 Black List and was preemptively purchased by MTV Films for $300,000 against $600,000. Scribe also wrote the romantic comedy “Pumas” for CBS Films, as well as a draft of “The King of Kong” for director Seth Gordon.

Stack is repped by Paradigm and Kaplan/Perrone.
