Lady Gaga is teaming with the Muppets for a holiday special on ABC, the network confirmed today.
“Lady Gaga & the Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular” will feature Gaga performing songs from her new album “Artpop” with Muppet characters. Sir Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and RuPaul will also appear in the 90-minute spesh.
Gaga and the Muppets have a notable history, as the pop star took Kermit the Frog to the 2009 MTV VMAs as her date, and featured Jim Henson’s Creature Shop pieces in her 2010 Monster Ball tour.
Gaga also is no stranger to an Alphabet holiday spesh, as the songstress hosted “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving” on ABC in 2011.
