This Polish village which was established by the Polish people who were settled in Istanbul during the invation of Poland in 1842, nowadays brings together both modern life and tradition with its heavenly nature, villas, hotels&pensions, restaurants and green parks... Polonezköy is known for it's fresh air, natural beauty, butter, honey, and cherries. Traditional Polonezkoy Cherry Festival is being organized each year in June with dancers and visitors coming from Poland... There are about 500 Polish residents in the village...

Polonezköy is a unique village with its success in protecting its nature and environment around Istanbul... Before you come to this lovely village, while you were passing through the roads surrounded with pine trees and green lands, you suddenly feel yourself purified from the crowdedness, noise and chaos of Istanbul...

Just at the entrance of the village, a church and a Catholic cemetery welcomes you inside... About a 100 meters ahead you arive to the village's small square full of roses and flowers where you may find small souvenir shops of honey and tradional Polonezkoy items made by the Polonezkoy folks. You may also find horses ready to be hired... After a small walk you realise that the village is formed inside a forest of pine, oak, hornbeam, fir, and chestnut trees. Thus your eyes get refreshed and relaxed with each tone of green...

There are various accomodation opportunities in Polonezkoy. You may find many big or small villas serving as hotel or pension. The houses of the village are surrounded with sweat tradional fences and high trees... Entrances are full of special roses named "yediveren" and flowers...

Arrival to Polonezkoy
First Option After passing Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, exit form "Beykoz/Kavacık" turn... Continue through Acarlar Business Center. After passing A gate of the Acarlar Houses, you may reach Polonezko in 10 minutes through Cavusbasi  direction...
Second Option Through Beykoz to Toygar, from there to Mahmut Sevket Pasa, and then heading south through Ucpinarlar you may reach Polonezkoy...
Third Option Exit from TEM's "Umraniye/Sarigazi" turn. After passing through Carrefour and coming to Kocatepe Cemetery, take Cavusbasi direction from the upper passage at right... You may reach Polonezkoy in 15 minutes by following the signboards..
