Not only had Sharon had an affair with her own brother-in-law, but she also confessed the whole thing on tape. How would Grant react when he heard the sordid truth?
The taped confession
Phil and Kathy's engagement party was in full swing inside the Vic. Grant sat listening to the dreadful truth over and over again. He silently entered the Vic, and put the tape into the stereo.
Sharon is slapped
Grant left after the confession rang out. Furiously Kathy slapped Sharon and called her a slut. Michelle emptied the pub, until only she, Sharon, Kathy and Phil remained. Kathy was raging at everyone for betraying her.
Phil finds Grant
Worried, Nigel decided to go looking for Grant with no luck. Phil found him in the Arches. Although Grant warned Phil to stay away, he seemed in no mood for a fight. He cried and begged for the truth.
The Mitchell brothers fight
Phil was convinced that the only way to sort it out was to fight and began to push Grant around. Grant rose to the bait. Nigel looked into the Arches and found Grant sitting by the observation pit where Phil lay in a pool of blood.
