UK’s Website of Year 2006: Winners are revealed |

The winners of the 2006 edition of the Website of the Year awards -UK's most important people's choice award for websites- are revealed today. This year, 359 websites were nominated over 20 consumer categories. More than 350.000 votes were cast by 275.000 voters between October 9 and December 1.
Profileheaven.com was chosen UK's "Best Website of 2006" because of its content, navigation and design. Again, the gaming site Zylom.co.uk was chosen by the public as UK's "Most popular website of 2006" with more than 6000 votes.
In each category there are two prizes to win: The title 'Best Website of the Year is provided to the website with the highest average score on content, navigation and design. The title 'Most Popular Website' is provided to the website with the highest number of votes.
