Keadilan's plans for Merdeka 29 August, 2007 Kota Kinabalu: Keadilan Sabah will not be a part of the 50th celebration of Malaysia's Independence but will mark Malaysia's 44th Anniversary and Sabah's 44th Independence with a simple ceremony in Tambunan, said its Vice-President Datuk Dr Jeffery Kitingan. He said in a statement that it is sad that the Government is putting much more emphasis on Malaya's independence rather than the formation of Malaysia, thereby ignoring history and the feelings of Sabah and Sarawak. He added that the party will be holding a talk on the formation of Malaysia and Sabah's independence on Aug. 30. On the next day, it will visit the "Batu Sumpah" in which is enshrined the 20 Points Agreement.
