20th Century American Trains
These five, colorful stamps pay tribute to American industry and design, and specifically to the heritage of our railroads. The five Art Deco-style passenger trains featured are the Daylight, the Congressional, the 20th Century Limited, the Hiawatha and the Super Chief. Artist Ted Rose used watercolor to portray each train and its representative background. Descriptive text is included on the gummed side of each stamp.
