Behind-the-scenes on ‘Song’ as Cyrus swims with sharks
Cyrus and co-star Liam Hemsworth shoot a scene for "The Last Song" this summer on coastal Georgia.
Now that shooting has wrapped on the Miley Cyrus movie “The Last Song” at the Georgia Aquarium, Buzz can share more scoop from the set.
The tween star of Disney’s “Hannah Montana” actually arrived in Atlanta Monday to get acclimated to the aquarium’s fish tanks. Spies on the set report that Miley took to the water right away in a specially made cobalt and red wetsuit created for her for the film (aquarium employees normally use less flashy and film-ready black wetsuits). Cyrus remarked to her mom (and film producer Leticia Cyrus) “how great” the experience was.
Cyrus’ scenes at the Atlanta tourist attraction were with co-star and “Song” love interest Liam Hemsworth, an Australian actor best known for his stint on the Aussie soap “Neighbours.” Hemsworth, 18, plays Will Blakelee, an aquarium volunteer in the family film.
During the day-long closed set shoot Tuesday, Cyrus was busy chatting with her make-up artist Julie Hewett via their Twitter feeds.
According to Hewett, the 16-year-old star doesn’t require much make-up.
Good thing.
Cyrus’ co-stars in one scene? The aquarium’s whale sharks where make-up is prohibited in the tank.

Tybee Island and Wilmington have been packed all summer with Miley and her entourage. It has been fun. I have seen Billy Ray and Miley a few times at some restaurants. They are pretty cool folks it seems. I asked Billy Ray if he wanted to go down town with me and some of my friends when we saw him at a jiffy store and he acted like he really wanted to then declined and said he had a busy schedule the following day. But I think he wanted to party with us.

I watch Hannah Montana with my daughter, we also watched the movie which I thought was adorable. I don’t find anything wrong with the character that she plays. As far as role models? Thats my daughter and I AM her role model, now and forever. I do a darn good job of it so I’m not threatened by what any actor/singer does in their personal life.

I feel bad for her. She was taken advantage of by a child predator named Justin Gaston. Now she is dancing on a pole of MTV at an award show for all her young fans to see. Disgraceful. Gaston and her parents should be locked up. P.S. - The “real” housewives of ATL are a disgrace.

I think Miley should have performed as Hannah montanna since thats what all of the awards were pretty much for, including the climb which she didnt even write.

I was at the aquarium on Monday night doing research and was fortunate enough to see her in the tank. She seemed to be having a good time, but there were enough support divers around to be sure nothing happens. She also had a floating device nearby, just in case.

I did some background work for the movie while they were on tybee and it was the best expierence. i can’t wait for the movie to come out!! Miley is a really great person!!
