JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Two members of the Wounded Warrior Project will participate in the opening coin toss for the 2007 Dr. Pepper ACC Football Championship game on Saturday.

Dean Schwartz, a native of Wise, Va., and Michelle Saunders, a native of Massachusetts, will assist in the tossing of the coin with ACC referee Jack Childress and the game captains from Boston College and Virginia Tech.

Schwartz, a combat engineer for the Virginia National Guard, was wounded in Mosul, Iraq, during his second deployment.

Saunders, a non-commissioned officer working in transportation with the U.S. 25th Infantry Division, was wounded in Iraq when her convoy came under heavy attack.

This is the second straight year the ACC has participated in the Wounded Warriors program.
