Badfinger concerts
1984
compiled by Tom Brennan

After the death of Tommy Evans, Bob Jackson was asked by Ray Reneri to do a tour in the U.S. celebrating the 20th anniversary of the British Invasion. At the suggestion of Reneri, Joey Molland was invited to rejoin Badfinger. During the tour, some concert footage was shot which was used to create a promo film for Joey's solo song "Moolah Rey".

The Bottom Line
New York City, New York, U.S.A.

Concert memories:
A friend of mine attended the 1984 (British Invasion) package tour in New York and I have heard a recording of the show I found the Badfinger performance to be a bit cartoony. There was a thing they did during one song introducing themselves all as last named Jackson and like some of the other acts -Herman's Hermits sans Peter Noone. It just wasn't right; not as good as the show I had seen 2 years earlier.
I think this took place at the Bottom Line and includes Gerry & the Pacemakers, The Troggs and The Hermits. Not a great audience tape - lots of crowd chatter.
