Recent News and NotesApril 8, 2010 Geocoder.us is run primarily as a public service by Rich Gibson and Schuyler Erle. Schuyler Erle, creator of Geocoder.us, spent time in Haiti doing mapping work in support of the relief efforts. Schuyler, John Crowley, and Jeffrey Johnson spoke about Crisis Mapping at the Where 2.0 conference on April 2nd, 2010. Watch their talk here. The key quote to me (Rich) is 'Open Street Map saved lives in Haiti.' Rich Gibson has been working on the GigaPan Project, and has technical notes on GigaPanning here.
