You know her, you love her ... the adorable and dynamic contemporary dancer from So You Think You Can Dance Season 6, Kathryn McCormick, just landed the lead role in Step Up 4. This is not her first time on the big screen; she was supporting dancer in the 2009 remake of Fame, which featured another SYTYCD bright talent, Kherington Payne. But this will be her first time playing a main character in a movie. We know she can dance and now we’ll get to find out if this Georgia Peach can act.
While we await the official press release for more details on the plot line and Kathryn’s character, choreographer Stacey Tookey couldn’t hold back her excitement. She sent her congratulations via Twitter last night: “So proud of my girl @KathrynrMcc you deserve all the success in the world.”
Stacey spilled the beans when fans questioned what exactly is was that Kathryn was so deserving of. She replied, “the leading role in Step it up 4!” We can’t wait to find out more about the next installment in the never-ending Step Up movies. At least, we can be assured that there will be top-notch dancing in it. Congratulations to Kathryn!
