The University's marks and the reputation they represent are important assets. On behalf of the University and the Regents of the University of California, this division's primary role is to protect and promote the use of these marks. Besides its substantial licensing activities, UCLA Trademarks & Licensing also monitors other commercial and internal use of the marks and is responsible for the administration of over 300 "UCLA" trademark and servicemark registrations worldwide.
