Christina Aguilera is all about using her powerhouse voice for positive change.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton honored The Voice judge for her philanthropy efforts in fighting against world hunger during the 2012 George McGovern Leadership Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C. yesterday.

The mega-pop star partnered with the United Nations World Hunger Relief fund and has been able to raise $115 million to help impoverish children across the globe. Christina was also recently honored for her dedication to this effort at the 2012 ALMA Awards.

“If I could sing Christina,” said Mrs. Clinton at the event, “I would want to be on your team.”

In turn, Christina spoke to the crowd about what forming part of this movement means to her. “My work and experience has been absolutely mind-blowing, unbelievable, and life changing," she added, "It has become the most important job I have behinds mothering my own son.”
