Chart-topping singer Josh Groban will perform Aug. 6 at Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena as part of the world tour in support of his latest album, “Illuminations.”

Tickets, $60.20 and $90.90, go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at the arena box office, Ticketmaster outlets, by calling 800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com.

The 8 p.m. Aug. 6 concert comes in the middle of Groban's North American “Straight To You” tour, which kicks off May 12 in New Orleans and includes a July 16 show at the Palace of Auburn Hills outside Detroit.

According to a record label press release, the concert starring the multi-platinum-selling singer will “bring the feel of a theater experience to an arena setting through stage design, lighting and projection.”
