Dublin University honours actor Pierce Brosnan

James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has been honoured by a university theatre group in his native Ireland.
The former 007 has been given honorary patronage of the Dublin University Players society at Trinity College, Dublin, contactmusic.com reported on Wednesday.
The 59-year-old received a plaque in gave a talk to students in the Players Theatre.
Brosnan and Beau St. Clair formed the Los Angeles-based production company, Irish DreamTime, in 1996 with the goal of fostering new talent and producing independent and studio films.
Irish DreamTime's first production, The Nephew, was set in Ireland. This story of star-crossed lovers starred veteran Irish actors Donal McCann, Sinead Cusack and Niall Toibin alongside Brosnan and American newcomer Hill Harper.
The company next served as Executive Producer on the Propaganda film The Match, a Scottish comedy starring Max Beesley, Richard E. Grant, Tom Sizemore and Ian Holm.
The partnership's third venture in less than three years was producing MGM's 1999 remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, directed by John McTiernan, which starred Brosnan, Rene Russo and Denis Leary.
Irish DreamTime's next two movies had them return to Ireland for filming.
