1953 May 16th – Pierce Brendan Brosnan born at St. Mary’s Hospital, Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland.

1964 Moves to London.

Leaves school at age 16.

1969 Begins working as a commercial artist at Ravenna Studios in Putney, South London.

1971 Discovers the world of acting at the Oval House Theatre, The World of LaMaMa Theater – Grotowski Living Theatre

1971 Tours England and Amsterdam doing workshops and theatre.

1971 Forms a street theatre company called Theatre Spiel.

1971 Forms Oval House Theatre Company.

  1973 thru 1976 Studies at the Drama Centre in London.

1976 Employed at the Glasgow Citizen’s Theatre for two seasons.

1977 Cast by Tennesee Williams in The Red Devil Battery Sign.

1984 Lands first starring role in the feature film Nomads directed by John McTiernan.


1986 Remington Steele is cancelled by NBC.

1986 The role of James Bond in The Living Daylights is offered. Simultaneously, NBC renews Remington Steele for another year.

1986 Pierce Brosnan can’t get out of NBC contract, loses Bond role to Timothy Dalton.

1986 Stars in miniseries Noble House.

1989 Stars in miniseries Around the World in 80 Days.

1990 Stars in feature film Mr. Johnson directed by Bruce Beresford.

1991 Stars in Murder 101 directed by Bill Condon.

1991 December 28th – Wife Cassandra dies of ovarian cancer.

1992 Stars in The Lawnmower Man directed by Brett Leonard.

1992 Stars in Live Wire directed by Christian Duguay.

1993 Co-Stars in Mrs. Doubtfire directed by Christopher Columbus.

1994 Spring – meets Keely Shaye in Mexico.

1994 June 1st – Gets offered Bond role once again.

1994 Summer – Films Robinson Crusoe directed by Rod Hardy and George Miller.

  1995 January – begins production on GoldenEye directed by Martin Campbell.

1995 November 17th – GoldenEye premieres and revives the Bond franchise earning $375 million worldwide.

1996 Launches Irish DreamTime with long time friend Beau St. Clair.

1996 Appears in Mars Attacks directed by Tim Burton.

1996 Begins production on Dante’s Peak directed by Roger Donaldson.

1997 January 13th – Dylan Thomas Brosnan is born in Los Angeles, CA.

1997 February 7th – Dante’s Peak premieres.

1997 February – Begins production on Tomorrow Never Dies directed by Roger Spottiswoode.

1997 Honored with star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.

1997 December 17th – Tomorrow Never Dies premieres earning $343 million worldwide.

1998 Release of first Irish DreamTime production, The Nephew.

1998 Spring – Stars in Grey Owl directed by Sir Richard Attenborough.

1998 Summer – Step-daughter Charlotte gives birth to a daughter, Isabella Sophia.

1998 Fall – Produces and stars in The Thomas Crown Affair directed by John McTiernan.

1999 January – Begins production on The World is Not Enough directed by Michael Apted.

1999 August 6th – The Thomas Crown Affair is released.

1999 November 19th – World is Not Enough premieres earning $352 million worldwide.

2000 Stars in The Tailor of Panama directed by John Boorman.

2001 February 27th – Paris Beckett Brosnan is born in Santa Monica, CA.

2001 August 4th – Pierce and Keely marry at Ballintubber Abbey, Ireland.

2001 Fall – Produces and stars in Evelyn.





2002 January – Begins production on Die Another Day directed by Lee Tamahori.

2002 Spring – International Star of the Year at Cinema Expo in Amsterdam

2002 October 4th– Chicago Film Festival, Lifetime Achievement Award

2002 November 22nd – Die Another Day premieres earning $424 million worldwide.

  2002 November 24th – Appears on Inside the Actor's Studio.

2002 December 13th – Evelyn premieres.

2003 Produces and stars in Laws of Attraction with Julianne Moore in Ireland and New York City.

  2003 June 23rd – Receives honorary Doctorate from Dublin Institute of Technology.

2003 July 19th – Awarded an honorary OBE by Her Majesty The Queen.

2003 Begins production of After the Sunset with Selma Hayak and Woody Harrelson; directed by Brett Ratner.

  2003 September – Pierce wins legal battle to claim his domain name, PierceBrosnan.com.

  2004 March – The Official Pierce Brosnan website is launched.

2004 April to May – Principal photography on Irish DreamTime’s The Matador with Greg Kinnear and Hope Davis; written and directed by Richard Shepard.

2004 April 30th – Laws of Attraction directed by Peter Howitt premieres.




2004 June 4th – Receives honorary Doctorate at University of Cork, Ireland.

2004 September 23 – Pierce receives American Citizenship

2004 October 30 – Pierce receives Outstanding Irish Contribution to Cinema award at the 2004 Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTAs).

2004 November – Pierce begins offering Limited Edition Giclees for purchase to Fan Club Members

2004 November 12 – After the Sunset opens at #3 box office position, after The Incredibles and Polar Express
