About FWSCI

Fort Wayne Sister Cities International, Inc. was established in 1976 and organized in 1983 as an Indiana corporation, FWSCI, a 501(c)(3) Corporation, is affiliated with Sister Cities International, headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Fort Wayne Sister Cities International, Inc. is working to promote international understanding between the residents of Fort Wayne and the citizens of our Sister Cities: Takaoka, Japan; Plock, Poland; and Gera, Germany.
We work to promote international understanding between the citizens of Fort Wayne and the citizens of our Sister Cities through the development of personal relationships fostered by frequent student, civic, artistic, and business exchanges.

The Sister Cities committee serves as a vehicle for representatives from the Chambers of Commerce and departments of economic development from all the Sister Cities to participate in exchanges and dialogue for future collaboration.
To foster cultural exchanges for young people, Fort Wayne Sister Cities International, Inc. is continually developing its student exchange programs, building upon the importance of maintaining the link between education and global awareness.

We wish to thank the City of Fort Wayne and Mayor Tom Henry for their significant support in staff, funds and other resources to enable FWSCI to link Fort Wayne with our sister communities. Over the years Mayors Robert Armstrong, Winfield Moses, Paul Helmke, and Graham Richard, along with Mayor Henry, have worked to build international links. Their ongoing support of FWSCI is a key part of that effort.
