Encore Media Corp. corrects release regarding output agreement.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 1995--Encore Media Corp. (EMC (1) (EMC Corporation, Hopkinton, MA, www.emc.com) The leading supplier of storage products for midrange computers and mainframes. Founded in 1979 by Richard J. Egan and Roger Marino, EMC has developed advanced storage and retrieval technologies for the world's largest companies. ) announced today that its first-run movie service STARZ!-encore 8 ("STARZ!") will be the exclusive first-run premium pay cable provider of theatrical output from Turner Pictures, New Line Cinema and Fine Line Features for the next 10 years.

"We are thrilled to have signed Turner Pictures and to have extended our current agreement with New Line Cinema and Fine Line Features. This agreement ensures that STARZ! will have one of the strongest exclusive movie packages in premium pay television.

Turner Pictures will join New Line Cinema, Fine Line Features, Universal Pictures, Imagine, Miramax, Carolco, Touchstone (1997) and Hollywood Pictures (1997) providing STARZ! with exclusive programming well into the next century," said John J. Sie, chairman/chief executive officer of Encore Media Corp.

In the past year, New Line Cinema and Fine Line Features have produced such box-office hits as "Seven," "Mortal Kombat Mortal Kombat (commonly abbreviated as MK) is a popular series of fighting games created originally by the Midway Manufacturing Company. Mortal Kombat ," "Friday," "Hoop Dreams" and "Dumb and Dumber." Combined, the two companies will contribute approximately 30 films a year to Encore's library of premium choices.

Recently, Turner Pictures announced its first feature film project from president of production, Amy Pascal, and her team.
