GTA5 Soundtrack Update

Fans were excited to hear a long-overdue confirmation that Grand Theft auto 5 would be coming to PC and next-generation consoles in the fall window this year – an announcement which Rockstar were cryptically silent about for months after the game’s launch. While most fans were just expecting a large improvement in regards to graphics, it seems Rockstar is going above and beyond fan expectation – they’re even updating aspects of the radio station soundtracks for the game. It’s not confirmed that every radio station is getting an update, but all new content for Grand Theft Auto 5 is certainly welcome – especially with the online heists feature facing so many delays.

Cara Delevingne, who plays herself as the radio hostess of Non Stop Pop FM within the game, recently tweeted about her visit to Rockstar Games and inadvertently revealed that the studio is definitely cooking up some new content from the audio department. The actress posted the photos to her Instagram and Twitter accounts during a previously unannounced visit to Rockstar Games, where she posed in front of a large Rockstar logo and stated she was working on an update for the new versions of Grand Theft Auto 5.

The actress also posted a photo with caption ‘coming soon…’ for further juicy speculation.

Though Cara Delevingne seems to be the only radio personality to have publicly been to the studio so far, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that other radio hosts from the game have contributed to the new content update. With both the PS4 and Xbox One utilizing Blu-ray discs (and PCs having traditionally larger hard drives), it could be that the radio stations are including an additional bulk of songs. It’s also possible that the studio is including exclusive new missions, updates or events.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is still slated for a fall release this year, which Rockstar recently confirmed when a fan asked for clarification on their Frequently Asked Questions board. In any event, it seems like fans will be able to get their hands on the game with ample time ahead of Christmas this year, which would be the ideal window for an upgraded GTA5.

What do you think about Rockstar getting new audio samples for radio hosts? Are they putting in more music, or is there a larger update here that isn’t announced yet?

  1. The only thing in GTA 5 that disappointed me was the radio, so I certainly hope it gets “fine tuned” for PC.

  2. There was nothing wrong with the radio, guy. You’re not any cooler by disliking it..

    • No, but he may have decent taste in music. GTAV’s radio is pretty bad. Only Rebel Radio, Space and Lowdown have consistently good tracks.

    • No fear, you can still get all the hip hop and pop music from before. You can also get to hear Channel X (Whoever is responsible for THAT needs to be broken and risen across the country by a midget like a horse), and don’t fret, they aren’t getting rid of that annoying guy going “OOOOHHHHMMMM” over and over and over again.

I want rock music that was not made in the 70′s.

You are not any cooler by disliking an updated soundtrack.

    • I we were to make a full list of all the things I’m uncool for, we would all be torn asunder by the sheer weight of lameness that has been wrought upon my feeble shoulders… be thankful I only mentioned the radio.

  3. It’s your opinion if you don’t like the radio stations, me personally i like west coast classics radio los santos and the lowdown, like real radio stations they play s***** music
