Women's Football News:
Boston Militia Announcement

Boston Militia Staff, January 5, 2015

It is with heavy heart that I announce the discontinuation of the Boston Militia. The limited numbers of teams in the Northeast has resulted in a reduced schedule over the last few years, causing the professional level of competition to decline.

The Boston Militia's hard work and dedication to their craft has forged 7 successful seasons during which the team has won 51 regular season games and lost 3, winning 94% of the regular season games. During the playoffs, the team won 16 games while only losing 3, winning 84% of those games. Overall the Boston Militia has won 91% of the games with 67 wins and only 6 losses.

The Militia won the Independent Women's Football League World Championship in 2010 with an undefeated 11-0 record. In 2011, the team moved to the Women's Football Alliance and won the WFA National Championship with an 11-1 record. The Militia became the first team ever to win two WFA National Championships with a victory in 2014 over the San Diego Surge by a score of 69-34. The Boston Militia has won 3 National championships in the last 7 seasons!

Thank you for all your support over the past 7 years!
