Meghan Trainor has canceled the remainder of her tour, which was scheduled to end Sept. 13 in New Jersey, due to another vocal hemorrhage, the singer announced in an Instagram post Tuesday morning.
“I was being careful and taking precautions, but I have hemorrhaged my vocal cord again,” she wrote. She previously had to postpone shows in July due to the same similar injury. “Sadly, I will need to cancel the remainder of my tour and get surgery to finally fix this once and for all.”
Trainor spoke of her vocal cords earlier this summer with EW and said, “I’ve been on tour for the better part of this year, which has been amazing but can be a lot of work for my little vocal cords. They’re like muscles, and I feel like I basically pulled a muscle.”
Along with the note, Trainor also posted a photo of her tour openers — Charlie Puth and Life of Dillon — with an apology: “I’m so sorry to my amazing openers that we had to cut it short,” she wrote. “Thank you and your teams for everything.” See both posts below.
