The campaign was launched today with Bersih Shanghai and Global Bersih for Malaysians to show support for the overnight rally next weekend, even if they cannot be present.

"We started this campaign to enable them to express their concerns about recent developments in Malaysia," said campaign spokesman Johnson Chew from Bersih Shanghai.

The Bersih 4 rally will take place on August 29 for 34 hours starting 2pm, with concurrent rallies to be held at Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and other cities in the world.

The posters are available on the Facebook page "Bersih Global Countdown" and pictures taken with the posters can be uploaded on the same page.

Global Bersih's Ivy Josiah said the rally would take place in more than 40 locations in 20 countries, and this is expected to increase next week.

"During Bersih 3, we had 85 locations in 35 countries. Right now, we have 20 countries but we are expecting to have 40 countries participating by the end of next week," she said. – August 23, 2015.
