The mission of Rancho Vista Elementary School is to provide opportunities for each student to achieve personal excellence while striving to master the state standards. Working as a school community, we will encourage each child to "reach for the stars" as we aim to create respectful citizens and lifelong learners.
Greetings from Rancho Vista Elementary School, home of the Rockets. Rancho Vista Elementary School is a K-6 school located in the southwest portion of the Antelope Valley. Rancho Vista Elementary school had the honor of being selected as a 2006 California Distinguished School, the first in the Westside Union School District.
The school opened its doors in 1989 as a K-5 elementary site. Rancho Vista Elementary currently serves grades K-6 with 32 classrooms, a computer lab, a multi-purpose facility, a library and an administration building.
Our highly qualified certificated and classified staff, students, parents and community all work together as a team to provide the best education possible for our students. We truly believe that teamwork makes all the difference. Rancho Vista maintains high expectations for all students. Learning takes place in a positive environment comprised of mutual respect, student engagement activities, high expectations, a standards based curriculum at all grade levels, a caring and supportive staff and a well-maintained school campus. Students are empowered to build strong character through a school wide character focus program. School attendance averages 96%. Our school is fortunate to have a large number of dedicated and trained parents volunteering many hours each week. The PTA is an integral part of Rancho Vista providing financial support to each classroom and teacher. Our students are truly lifting off into the future to make a positive difference in the world we live in. We are truly proud to be Rancho Vista School!
