You can't say Alessia Cara hasn't been excited about her Saturday Night Live debut—before her February 4 episode, the singer tweeted that SNL anticipation set her head spinning.

And on Saturday night, it was her turn to spin heads. Her first song pick was "Scars To Your Beautiful"—one of Billboard's 100 Best Pop Songs of 2016: Critics' Picks. Next, she delivered a soulful rendition of "River of Tears."

Cara was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2016 Juno Awards, and appeared on Disney's official Moana soundtrack, singing the Lin-Manuel Miranda-penned hit "How Far I'll Go."
