Ubisoft and esports organisation ESL have announced the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Pro League, a global Xbox One and PC competition.
The total prize pot on offer will be $100,000 - at the end of each season, the top-placed teams from Europe and North America will go head-to-head on both PC and Xbox, each for a $50,000 prize.
The first season of the PC Pro League will take place at the Intel Extreme Masters esports tournament in Katowice, Poland on March 4.
The Xbox-based tournament, as well as rounds taking place in North America, will follow at some point later on.
