Critics’ Choice TV Awards nominations 2018: Full list led by Netflix, ‘Feud: Bette and Joan,’ ‘Big Little Lies’ …

Nominations for the 8th Critics’ Choice TV Awards were announced on Wednesday, December 6 by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association. These kudos honor the best of television for the 2017 calendar year, as determined by TV critics, journalists and scribes. Winners will be revealed Thursday, January 11, 2018 on the CW network during a ceremony that will also include the 23rd Critics’ Choice Film Awards. Scroll down to see the full list of Critics’ Choice TV Awards 2018 nominations. Also see our extensive report on the TV noms.

Not surprisingly, awards powerhouse Netflix leads all networks with 20 nominations, with four of those for their new comedy “GLOW.” HBO is next in line with 15 nominations, thanks in part to “Big Little Lies” and its five bids. And FX, buoyed by “Feud: Bette and Joan” with a leading six notices and “Fargo” with five, comes in third place with 13 overall nominations.

This year’s crop of contenders features a nice mix of new shows like “American Gods,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “GLOW,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “Patriot” facing off against returning favorites like “Game of Thrones,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Black-ish” and “Modern Family.” Only six shows contend in the Best Drama Series and Best Comedy Series categories, down from seven at the past few ceremonies.
