Freshly rechristened shingle Berk/Lane Entertainment (formerly Union Square Entertainment) is developing two new projects: “The Company Men,” written and directed by John Wells; and “All the Ships at Sea,” a romantic comedy written and directed by Vic Levin.
Levin (“Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!”) will write and direct “Ships,” a romantic comedy revolving around two pals who fall for the same woman.
“The Company Men” follows a group of businessmen coping with the harsh realities of unemployment after being downsized. Wells is producing with Claire Rudnick Polstein and Paula Weinstein.
Union Square Entertainment was founded by Jason Berk and Matt Lane. Beverly Hills-based shingle produces and finances mid-budget indie fare. The duo are rebranding to take a more active hand in the development of their films and expand into alternative media and TV.
