In COCO, when we see Delacruz in flashback and he decides to turn on H... the Delacruz facial animation is so, so extraordinarily good... @leeunkrich, you and your team rock the nuances.

To each there own: loved the games (didn’t care for the storyline) but couldn’t wait for the movie to end. Too many clichés and one liners in a very predictable movie. One thing though, the graphics are amazing.
-
Filmmakers devote years of their lives to their movies, doing their best to tell great stories. Perhaps employ tact when criticizing directors directly to their faces.
-
I agree but I fail to see where tact was lacking. I wasn’t rude, and I stated what I experience, nothing more.
-
I guess I don’t see how offering a filmmaker an unsolicited list of the things you disliked about their film is in any way thoughtful or constructive. We have feelings, too!
-
It’s called viewing from a different perspective: you cannot grow as a person, in your craft, if you only listen to what you want to hear.
-
Making a movie is like having a kid, you put your life and soul in it for many years. It is rude to have someone that's "never had a kid" come an tell you what you are doing wrong, because the answer to that will always be "well then go and have a kid if you know so much"
-
Good point and I apologize. So now how do you proceed when you do not like something?
-
Free speech! Public forums! I’m not discouraging people from expressing their opinions. I’m just asking that they use some decorum when talking directly to the creators. I’m defending
@ManMadeMoon in this case, but I’ve experienced it many times myself. - 10 more replies

Well, it took 14 years for Incredibles and 22 years for Jumanji, so there's still hope for fans.
-
The sequel will probs be set like 20 years after when Thrall is grown up so that could work!

I just don't understand how Resident Evil can get shitty movie after shitty movie... but Warcraft can't get a sequel and Warcraft was far better than any Resident Evil movie.
-
I agree, but it's a simple answer. Milla Jovovich is a big enough name, and attractive, to get people to watch. Warcraft messed up by not getting a name a casual person would be interested in.
-
Can you imagine Warcraft with Brad Pitt or some shit? It'd lose its identity as Warcraft in favor of the big name actor. Glad they didn't go that route.

Is it about securing funding, or some other reason?
-
The movie ended up losing something like 15-40M that’s two months of Warcraft revenue. Boo hoo. Seems like Blizzard is all about the money lately. Without Metzen to push them to care about their creative works they just milk revenue. Blizzard is a wasteland.
-
Sad if true. I mean to be fair I haven't played much computer games since the early 2000s, but I was always a Blizzard fan and enjoyed the film.

Even as a
@netflix film? -
We want a big budget movie, not Netflix
-
It can be both!
