Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have released a cover of “Shallow,” the hit song from 2018′s “A Star Is Born.”

The duet, originally performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, was a showstopper in the movie and won trophies from Oscar, Grammy, the Golden Globes and more.

Brooks and Yearwood, who are married, initially performed the song at the request of a fan during a Facebook Live video in March. They recorded an official version of “Shallow” for a single that came out today, streaming via Amazon Music. Their rendition also will be included on Brooks' next album, “Fun,” set for release Nov. 20.

“Shallow” was written by Lady Gaga with Andrew Wyatt, Anthony Rossomando and Mark Ronson. Gaga produced the song with Benjamin Rice.

"From the moment Ms. Yearwood and I first performed ‘Shallow’ we have just had so much fun with performing it, and so have the fans, that it just felt right to share this with country radio,” Brooks said in a prepared statement. “Getting to sing this duet with the queen is really special and it’s nice way to work up to the release of my album ‘Fun’ coming out next month.”

Brooks and Yearwood discussed their recording of “Shallow” during a September interview with Nancy O’Dell of People. Brooks said performing the song makes the progression of his relationship with Yearwood flash before his eyes, but joked that “she just sees Bradley.”
