The Drew Barrymore Show often has guests in the hot seat, but actor and host Drew Barrymore herself was on the receiving end this week.

On the latest episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the actor sat down with her friend Kate Hudson to reminiscence about their “young and wild” years in Hollywood—during which Barrymore revealed she had an open relationship with former flame Luke Wilson. “I was dating him, but I think he was also dating other people,” Barrymore said. “It was an open relationship; we were young.”

Hudson, who previously on-and-off dated Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson's brother, said she connected with the two stars when they all went out to Chez Jay, a restaurant-bar in Santa Monica. At the time Hudson and Luke Wilson were costars in 2003's Alex & Emma

“I've been there with a Wilson too,” Hudson joked, referring to her two-year relationship with the You, Me & Dupree actor. Hudson and Owen Wilson dated from 2006 to 2008.

Barrymore and Luke Wilson dated in the late 1990s, during which they became inseparable in the press and on the red carpet, becoming one of Hollywood's It couples. The pair went on to film a few movies together, including the blockbuster film Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle in 2003.

“It's so funny because when you're young, you're like, ‘It's low stakes, we're just young. We're having fun, we're all playing, actors, hanging out.’ You're not taking it all so seriously, and it was fun and we had the best time,” Barrymore went on to tell her audience.

Over the last few months, Barrymore has been extremely candid about her love life. She revealed that dating apps make her feel like “such a loser” and has shared her feelings on her ex-husbands, embracing her newfound status as America's latest lovable daytime television talk show host.
