Huntington Hartford's Gallery of Modern Art on Columbus Circle, the newest museum in the city, attracted a record throng yesterday for the second consecutive day.

A total of 4,719 persons paid 75 cents (25 cents for children under 12) admission charge from the opening at 12 noon to the closing at 8.

The total the day before was 4,571, which broke the record of 4,297 set on Sunday, March 22, the day after the museum opened to the public. A total of 38,573 have visited the museum since its opening.

Large numbers of collegeage youths were among those who kept a line around the building.
