TEAM OF THE CENTURY - It wasn’t the full 11 Wildcat “Team of the Century” but these 6 former Guntersville football players were honored at the pep rally at Chorba-Lee Stadium the night before Guntersville played Albertville. The first man at left is Don Fuell, who was named the Player of the Century. Others on the team next to him are Raymond Weaver, Mike Horton, Butch Looney, Frankie McClendon and Melton Lecroy. Not shown are Josh Gunther and Danny Parker. The 3 remaining team of the century members are deceased - Mac Moss, Mike Jennings and J.B. Davis.
Guntersville High running back Jordan Bentley received 2 honors last week after he set the school’s new career touchdown record against Moody.
The Alabama High School Athletic Assn. named him to its “Prep Spotlight” and AL.com named him its “Tennessee Valley Player of the Week.”
