The entire sequence of how Doomsday came to our world was tremendous. Doomsday first ended up deep under the ocean in this movie.
The animation in this movie is beautiful.
They draw the girls so beautiful in these animated movies. Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor's assistant Mercy are mesmerizing in this one.
I was surprised to hear Superman's friend Bibbo Bibboswki saying the Hail Mary prayer in this movie. This prayer is sort of specific for the Catholic Church. I noticed in the credits at the end of this movie that Marv Wolfman and Jerry Ordway created the Bibbo character.
I get the impression that this movie will lead into some other follow on movies. Quite a few things that happen in this one will come up again in the next movie in the series which is Reign Of The Supermen.
Movie like this are mainly for kids I think although it's rated PG for some swear words and Doomsday's violent nature.
I'm starting to like the animated comic book movies better than the Hollywood versions.
This movie left a lot of questions about Doomsday unanswered. I'll be curious to see how those answers come up in some other movies.
This movie contains a lot of the elements from the original comic books.
I became fascinated with the Death Of Superman comic book story way back in the 90s when this cataclysmic event happened. Those comic books were collected into the trade paperback called The Death Of Superman.
Then some follow on comic books revealed Doomsday's unimaginable origins and explain why Doomsday is so mean and why he views Superman as the ultimate threat. I think those later comic books are in the trade paperback Superman: Doomsday. I read them separately when they were called the Hunter / Prey paperbacks.
To me this animated movie would translate well into a Hollywood version.
I was not crazy about this movie at first because I did not like New 52 version of Superman being paired with another godlike figure Wonder Woman. Luckily the writers fix this. Broke up Clark and Dianna and paired him with Lois surprising us with a makeout session in the broom closet of The Daily Planet in The Death of Superman.
This movie focus on Lois coping with the loss of Clark after finding out his true identity in the final act of Part One yet still being the great reporter she is and investigating the new Supermen appearing after Superman's death. Who is the true Superman reincarnated and what trickery is Lex Luthor up to?
This was a great version of the Death of Superman story. I like how not only did it focus on the relationship of Lois and Clark from the remainder of the New 52 universe starting with Death of Superman but it also focused on Clark. Clark is the opposite of Batman. Clark is who he is. Superman is what he can do.
This was a great movie with many twists and turns and it also made Superman as likeable and less godlike like Batman.

Digital Code: 1 Star
Fantastic movie. Unfortunately Warner Brothers set a 1 year limit on the digital codes, so if you didn't redeem them back in 2019, any sealed copies floating around will not have a working code. If you contact the $30 Billion company WB and talk to their digital support department, they will tell you it's impossible for them rectify. (They could easily rectify it).
You can find the digital version on sale on Vudu for $8, but the code in these won't work.
