Although Mother's Day has come and gone, Ashanti is still showing love to moms everywhere, including herself.

The Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram days after the annual day to celebrate moms with sweet words of her own. For her, this moment is more than personal as she is expecting her firstborn with her fiancé, Nelly.

“This Mother’s Day was so special,” Ashanti captioned the post which was accompanied by a photo montage that featured her and the "Country Grammar" rapper. “Having our families together as we are about to embark on such an incredible journey was amazing. Wishing all of the amazing Moms and Moms to be a beautiful Mother’s Day...!!!! 😆😆😆😆❤️🙏🏽🥳 #grateful 🙏🏽🥰."

The post also included moments of her and Nelly with their family and the mom-to-be posing by a backyard pool. She also glowed while showing off her “first pre-Mother’s Day flowers.”

Although her message came four days after the holiday, Ashanti said it was because she was drawn away by something else.

“Yeah yeah I know I’m late… it was so much food I got distracted 🤣🤣 Ps… I only had 1 plate tho 🤣🤣👀"

Last month, the "Baby" singer announced she and Nelly were expecting a child together on the app.

The Instagram post included the singer getting ready for a concert with her mother rushing her and asking if she needed more time. To which Ashanti replied, "Yeah, about nine months."

That same day, the singer and Nelly also announced their engagement.
