Dawlish pub car park cliff plunge man rescued

The Devon Air Ambulance flew the injured man to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital

A motorist was injured when he drove his car through the barrier of a Devon pub car park and down a steep embankment.

The accident happened at about 14:30 GMT at the Mount Pleasant pub in Dawlish.

The man was flown to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital by the Devon Air Ambulance. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.

Devon and Cornwall Police said his female passenger was not injured.
