The iHeartRadio Music Awards are slotted to honor some of music’s biggest names by giving special honors to Bon Jovi, Chance the Rapper and Camila Cabello at this year’s show.
Bon Jovi — who’s also been announced as a performer at the show — will receive the iHeartRadio Icon Award, Chance will receive the 2018 iHeartRadio Innovator Award, and Cabello will be honored with the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award.
Bon Jovi will be the first ever to receive the icon award. It’s all part of a big year for the New Jersey-born singer, who will also be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April. And on Friday, Bon Jovi will re-release This House Is Not for Sale — which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 back in 2016 — with two new songs “When We Were Us” and “Walls.”
Along with Bon Jovi, Cabello will also be the first to receive her Fangirls Award–presented by iHeartRadio and L’Oréal Paris–which is new to the show this year and is meant to “recognize a female artist who has pushed boundaries with her music and message while inspiring her fans around the globe,” according to a press release.
And as for Chance, his Innovator Award recognizes his “groundbreaking accomplishments in the music industry and his unsurpassable contributions to social causes.” Chance has constantly proven his commitment to his hometown of Chicago, most notably through his nonprofit SocialWorks. Last year, he donated $1 million to Chicago’s public school programs.
The fifth-annual award show, which will be hosted by DJ Khaled and Hailey Baldwin, will take place March 11 in Los Angeles and air live on TBS, TNT and truTV at 8 p.m. ET. See all the nominees here.
