Ashley Tisdale is getting into business with The Kennedys producer Asylum Entertainment.
The actress-producer’s production banner, Blondie Girl Productions, has inked a multiyear overall deal with Asylum to create and develop scripted and unscripted projects aimed at families and young adults. Ashley Tisdale, along with her sister, Jennifer Tisdale, vp development and production, will serve as producers.
“We are excited to work with Ashley and Jennifer to develop television that appeals to a broader, pop-culture-savvy audience,” said Steve Michaels, president and CEO of Asylum. “Connecting Asylum and the Blondie Girls team is a great example of the diverse development deals we are striving to create now that we are working with Legendary.”
“We are so incredibly excited for this partnership with Asylum and Legendary Entertainment and know this is a perfect fit for us at Blondie Girl as we continue to develop new and exciting content with this amazing team,” said Ashley Tisdale.
Blondie Girls produces ABC Family’s Young and Hungry comedy and the Disney Channel film Cloud 9. Other projects have included Bravo’s Miss Advised and E!’s Inner Circle.
Legendary acquired Asylum in December 2013 and through the deal, Asylum joins the Legendary Television and Digital Media umbrella. Asylum was founded in 2003 and has produced unscripted programs such as ESPN’s 30 for 30, Beverly Hills Pawn and four-time Emmy-winning miniseries The Kennedys.
